A place to gather

Set within a picturesque rural landscape, this kitchen renovation focused on transforming the existing footprint into a space that better supported the homeowners' love of cooking and entertaining. Rather than extending the home, the design maximised functionality by reworking the layout to improve storage, workflow and connection to the surrounding living areas.

Removing a section of windows allowed for a full wall of cabinetry, while a generous working pantry featuring Blum Revego pocket doors keeps appliances and everyday items neatly concealed. A central island creates a welcoming gathering place, reinforcing the kitchen as the heart of the home.

Inspired by the home's classic rural architecture, the design combines a timeless green palette, natural timber, a butler's sink and a striking tapered rangehood to create a warm, character-filled interior. Carefully considered details, including steel-framed glazing and uninterrupted views to the outdoor living spaces, ensure the kitchen feels both contemporary and enduring while celebrating its beautiful rural setting.
